I cannot relay the sadness of all my vegan and vegetarian friends and myself enough. Words can't even express the level of disappointment we have for such a deceptive move by a business that has been very loved by this community. As a vegan who moved here recently, with NO decent vegan restaurants I'd happily dump my wallet into---I felt extremely fortunate to live near such a great restaurant. Excuse my lack of holding back, but congratulations, you just ruined the best cafe I HAD ever walked into. The service is always phenomenal, and this cafe is the spot for sparking random conversations with interesting folk. I am not speaking to the level of commitment and love apparent with the baristas; they are exceptionally skilled. Though this world seems to condemn admitting when you make a mistake...you still have time to redeem yourselves. So...the question is....do you really want to back down on a commitment to more sustainable food? The world has enough "regular" restaurants! If nothing else, I'm glad to know there is a demand for delicious vegan food. Someone else will take your spot 🤷

I really like the 5th Street location- it's chill, in a really cool space, and I got my drink and food quickly. Sometimes the music can be kickig in there, as it was today- I liked it, but - if you want total quiet, may not be for you. Is it a bit spendy? Yes, but... it is quality. Today I tried the iced strawberry matcha and it was A+ deeeelish- the scram sandwich was also stellar- replete with a delightful tomato jam that takes the sandwich to the Next Level. So if you want to go where the cool kids go, check it out- I enjoy doing friend meet-ups there, it's a fun place to hang for a spell and enjoy some curated food and drink.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful and incredibly nice—when my matcha latte tasted off, they didn't hesitate to remake it for me, which I truly appreciated! On a positive note, the egg white dessert we tried was so cool and a total highlight, though the cinnamon bun was pretty lackluster and dry… However, the matcha latte itself was the biggest disappointment due to how it's prepared. The powder looks like a beautiful, vibrant green, but because the matcha base is pre-mixed and poured from a plastic squeeze bottle, the delicate tea flavor oxidizes quickly. Even though it looks perfect, the fresh, creamy umami flavor completely flattens out after sitting in water, leaving behind a dull, hay like taste that drowns out the milk. I’m a big matcha fan, and I know that they’re using quality matcha, the preparation is just ruining it… tbh if you keep it in powder form it’ll be a lot better and it whisks up quite fast, it’s just such a shame to ruin nice quality matcha. Because the team here is so sweet and the cafe has a great vibe, I really hope management considers switching to whisking the matcha fresh to order. I stopped by Project Coffee while I was leaving vacation in Sarasota and was genuinely so impressed. I ordered an iced latte with cold foam and egg sandwich with hash brown. Having spent plenty of time exploring coffee shops in both NYC and Miami, it was one of the best coffees I’ve had in a while. The breakfast sandwich was also delicious. I enjoyed everything enough that I ended up buying a bag of beans to take home. The space itself is bright, open, and inviting. The abundance of plants gives it a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Project Coffee is definitely one of the standout coffee spots I’ve visited recently and I’ll be looking forward to coming back.

We absolutely loved this coffee spot. The iced coffee and iced lattes were smooth and well balanced with their homemade vanilla syrup. Their two hands breakfast sandwich was one of the best we’ve ever had. Plenty of tables to relax and enjoy your delish breakfast.

Came here during spring break and loved it so much we had to try their second location. All of the food is delicious and the drinks are so good!! Between my two times going I got the iced hojicha latte, strawberry matcha, and iced vanilla matcha, which were all amazing, perfect umami and no powderyness. For food our favorites were the avocado toast, hash browns and sandwich. Definitely recommend! even my non-vegan family loved and were surprised by how good this place was!!

10/10 vibes, and coffee to match. The strawberry matcha is beautiful and their lattes are nice and subtle. Food is delicious - huge plates. Hats off to whoever did their branding.

Had a great experience at Project Coffee! The service was excellent—our order was taken by someone super friendly who made sure we had everything we needed. The food came out hot and delicious, and the overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!
